Understanding TRON Wallet Address Format
Every TRON wallet address follows a specific format that makes it easy to identify. Knowing the correct format helps you avoid sending funds to the wrong network and protects your assets.
A TRON wallet address is a Base58Check-encoded string derived from the wallet's public key. All TRON addresses begin with the capital letter T and are 34 characters long in total. An example address looks like this: TPAe77oEGDLXuNjJhTyYeo5vMqLYdE3GN8U. The address can contain both uppercase and lowercase letters as well as numbers.
This format differs from Ethereum and BNB Chain addresses, which always start with 0x and are 42 characters long. If you are copying an address and it does not start with T, it is not a TRON address. Never send TRX or TRC-20 tokens to an address starting with 0x — those funds would be unrecoverable.
TRON addresses are publicly visible on the blockchain. Anyone who knows your address can check your balance and transaction history through a TRON block explorer. However, only the person holding the matching private key can actually move funds from that address. Your private key and seed phrase must always be kept secret.
